Evidence of Experience
Diploma of Business
Upon the completion of my Diploma of Business, I had a graduation ceremony marking the milestone that I had achieved alongside my Year 12 studies. Completing this required strong skills in time management and organisation as I was balancing my diploma, school, and life commitments. Throughout the course, it gave me practical business knowledge and advanced skills like professional communication, policy writing, and business sustainability. Throughout the course, I went above the minimum requirements, backing all my research and answers with supporting evidence and reflections, while still meeting deadlines. This diploma was the start of demonstrating my ability to perform well in a professional and mature environment. I will be using the knowledge that I obtained during my diploma to help me with my Bachelor of Business and all future career opportunities.
School Assembly
During my time in school, I was often selected to participate in school assembly performances as a worship vocalist. This was an important part of the regular school rhythm. I actively engaged and participated respectfully, collaborating with my musician peers to display a shared sense of purpose and display the expectation of school culture. This involvement required discipline in practice, punctuality for rehearsals, confidence, and enthusiasm. I gained a greater appreciation for my school community, the staff who run them behind the scenes, and the talents my peers and I showcase and work so hard on. I will always apply the skills I learned from this experience to all collaborative job roles and responsibilities where positive engagement and improving culture are at the forefront.
School Leadership
During my final year of schooling, I was selected as a Sport House Prefect. This was a leadership role that included collaborating with 7 other peers plus staff members. I was a part of a team that was responsible for contributing to overall school spirit, implementing initiatives that created positive environments, encouraging student participation at sports events, and facilitating meetings with approximately 300 students. Within this role, my skills for leadership, communication, and teamwork were deepened, contributing overall in a positive way, supporting students and creating positive change within the school. This experience strengthened the value of leading while producing reliable and enthusiastic results. Having the opportunity to lead my school community has given me skills that I will apply for my future career, especially in opportunities that require leadership, teamwork, initiative, and resilience.
Volunteering
I continue to grow my experience as a vocalist in the worship team at my local church. Contributing fortnightly to both youth and Sunday gatherings. This commitment requires discipline in practice, continual upholding of my values, and the ability to work collaboratively with others from all walks of life. Being a part of this team means that I can contribute to an engaging, uplifting, and meaningful environment. It is always a privilege to volunteer in this space as I get to help hundreds of people on their faith journey. This role also requires adaptability as it is a fast-paced environment that can change quickly. This is because of song/key changes, structure changes, or mistakes that can always be made. Being in this environment also requires the ability to be open to feedback from everyone, as it is a space that always requires improvement and growth.
